Dr. Carlos De Brasi



Carlos De Brasi (CDB) has an MSc in Biological Sciences, a PhD from the Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences (FCEyN) of the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) with an Special Mention, and the title of Specialist in Human Molecular Genetics from the Argentine Society of Genetics. CDB coursed Pre- and Post-Doctoral studies at the Hôtel-Dieu Hospital of the Paris VI University (France), and at the University of Cardiff (United Kingdom). CDB is a CONICET Researcher and directs the Hemophilia Molecular Genetics Laboratory (GMH) of the Institute of Experimental Medicine (IMEX) and the associated Section of the Hematological Research Institute (IIHEMA) of the National Academy of Medicine (ANM). CDB has published more than 47 indexed research papers (2021) (h=16, 70 citations/year average in the last 5 years) and is an external reviewer for more than 10 prestigious international scientific journals. CDB has received 10 National and International Awards including the Awards “Premio Academia Nacional de Medicina 2004” and “Dr. Martín Villar-Grifols Haemostasis Award 2009”. CDB is an Active Full Member of the IMEX Directive Commission, the Biosafety Committee of the ANM Institutes, the IMEX Teaching and Research Committee, the Advisory Council of the National Genetic Data Bank (BNDG) and the Laboratory Science Committee (LSC) of the World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH).
